Welcome to Prepzy. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Prepzy platform at prepzy.io (the “Service”), operated by Prepzy (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Prepzy. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
By using the Service, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to agree to these Terms.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@prepzy.io if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts for the same person.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Free and Paid Plans
Prepzy offers a free tier and may offer paid subscription plans. The features available under each plan are described on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify plan features and pricing at any time, with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.
If you subscribe to a paid plan:
- You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
- You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the platform’s content, questions, or AI systems
- Share, sell, or distribute practice questions, explanations, or other platform content
- Submit false, misleading, or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users’ accounts
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the platform
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the Service — including practice questions, explanations, diagnostic frameworks, and the platform’s design — is owned by Prepzy or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on the platform without our prior written permission.
Your account data (your answers, performance history, and study data) remains yours. By using the Service, you grant us a license to use this data to operate and improve the platform.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service uses third-party providers, including AI model providers, to deliver certain features. Your use of the Service is subject to those providers’ terms and policies where applicable.
Prepzy is not affiliated with the College Board. AP® is a registered trademark of the College Board, which does not endorse this product.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Any particular AP exam score or result will be achieved
- All content is free from errors
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prepzy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $10 if you have not paid us anything).
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or that we determine is harmful to other users, the platform, or third parties.
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from your account settings.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
